Community Projects
Gateway Greening Community Projects
Here at Gateway Greening we believe strongly that community driven agriculture projects, including gardens and orchards, have the ability to connect people to the land, to their food, and to each other. We believe that these connections have can transform the St. Louis region into a deeply rooted resilient urban community. We work towards this goal through a unique mix of garden, orchard, and urban agriculture initiatives that you can explore below.
Community Gardens
Gateway Greening is proud to support over 200 community gardens and greening projects. We are amazed what neighborhoods can do with a few tools, seeds and a little bit of land.
Youth Gardens
Our youth gardens and programs inspire and educate children across the city of St. Louis. We work with parents, teachers and other community leaders to teach kids about gardening, agriculture and healthy eating.
